Assembly and Finishing in Contract Manufacturing
EICA provides assembly and finishing services as part of our comprehensive contract manufacturing offering. We handle everything from individual products and prototypes to recurring production runs, with assembly carried out according to the customer’s specifications and quality requirements.
By combining manufacturing, assembly, inspection, marking and packaging, we can take responsibility for a larger part of the production process and deliver products that are ready for shipment or further use.
Assembly to Customer Specifications
We assemble a wide range of products and components. Our assignments include products for Getinge and Eleiko, as well as fire-rated access panels with specific requirements regarding assembly and marking.
For products subject to type approval or other specified requirements, we work in accordance with the applicable specifications. This may, for example, mean that certain components or designs cannot be changed without affecting the product’s approval.
Inspection and Quality Assurance
After assembly, we can carry out inspections in accordance with the customer’s requirements and inspection documentation. Depending on the product, this may include:
- functional testing
- inspection of specified measurement points according to protocol
- dimensional and workmanship checks
- inspection of surface roughness and Ra values
Inspection procedures are adapted to each individual product and the customer’s quality requirements.
Product Marking
We can also provide marking as an integrated part of the manufacturing and assembly process, including:
- etching on stainless steel
- laser marking of cut components
- product and packaging marking according to customer specifications
This enables clear identification and traceability throughout the production and delivery process.
Packaging and Documentation
Once the product is complete, EICA can also handle packaging for shipment. Depending on the product’s size, weight and transport requirements, we can package products in corrugated cardboard boxes, on nailed pallets or in transport racks.
We can also label the packaging and include manuals and other documentation with the delivery. For certain customer products, for example, we are responsible for printing and including manuals with the finished product.
From Component to Delivery-Ready Product
With several manufacturing processes available under one roof, EICA can offer more than individual production operations. We can take care of all or part of the process, from manufacturing and surface treatment to assembly, inspection, marking, documentation and packaging.
This reduces the need for multiple subcontractors and provides a simpler route from drawing to a finished, delivery-ready product.
