Bending in Halmstad – EICA delivers precision
Bending (sheet metal bending) is a key step in sheet metal fabrication when parts need the right shape, function, and fit for assembly. At EICA in Halmstad, press brake forming and bending have been a natural part of our production since 1957, and we bend stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel—either as a standalone service or as part of our contract manufacturing.
Bending as part of a complete manufacturing flow
For many customers, bending is one stage in a broader production chain. That’s why we work with an integrated workflow where bending can be followed by, for example, welding, machining, surface treatment, and assembly—all under one roof.
Our production is geared towards small to medium-sized batches, but we also support prototypes and special parts where requirements vary from project to project.
Machinery and complementary processes
Bending is often most efficient when it’s integrated with the rest of the process. EICA’s machine park includes, among other things:
- Fiber laser cutting (Bystronic ByCut 3015, 10 kW)
- Punching (Prima Power)
- Machining (Haas VF-4)
- Welding (MIG/MAG and TIG) as well as a welding robot (MAG)
- In-house powder coating line (including maximum part size 2.5 × 1.4 × 0.8 m)
Materials and typical components
We primarily bend stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel, supplying everything from single parts to recurring production runs—such as chassis, enclosures, special components, and parts that will continue on to welding, surface treatment, and/or assembly.
