Pressing as part of a complete manufacturing flow
For many customers, pressing is one step in a larger production chain. That’s why we work with an integrated flow where pressing can be combined with laser cutting, press brake forming, welding, CNC machining, and powder coating. The result is shorter lead times, better control at every stage, and a delivery that is ready for the next operation.
Our production is geared towards small to medium-sized batches, but we also support prototypes and special components where requirements vary from project to project.
Machinery and complementary processes
Pressing is often most cost-effective when it is integrated with the rest of the process. EICA’s machine park includes, among other things:
- Prima Power for punching/press operations in small to medium-sized batches
- 10 kW fiber laser cutting (3,000 × 1,500 mm)
- CNC machining (Haas VF-4)
- TIG/MAG welding as well as a welding robot (MAG)
- In-house powder coating line (parts up to 2.5 × 1.4 × 0.8 m)
Process flow – from drawing to pressed component
To get pressing right, it’s not just about the operation itself, but the entire process around it.
- Design & engineering – our technicians help optimise documentation for efficient pressing and stable quality.
- Pressing/punching – processing according to NC programs for high repeatability and consistent tolerances.
- Post-processing – if needed, the part can move on to bending/press brake forming, CNC machining, welding, and grinding.
- Surface finish & assembly – powder coating in our own facility, followed by assembly and final inspection.
